Using a USB Cable Connect your phone to your laptop/desktop
computer. Ensure your phone is in the correct mode and ready to transfer files.
Next, open Windows Explorer and click on “This PC”
Your phone should be on the device list. It will appear on the
screen with how the USB transfer option is set, the icon may look like a
camera, a portable media player, or another drive. The icon doesn’t matter,
though—just confirm the name.
Then you open the device, you’ll see a drive named “Phone.”
Double click to Open that.
To find the images/photos, look for the folder named DCIM.
Once in the DCIM folder, open the “Camera” folder.
You then select all the photos you’d like to transfer. Just as in
other Windows folders, you can select a range of photos by clicking the first
photo you want, and then Shift + click the last photo in the range. Or, you can
select multiple photos one at a time by Ctrl + click.
After you have selected your photos, right-click on one of the
selected images, and then select the “Copy” command (or hit Ctrl + C).
If you’d like to move photos instead of copying them (Note: This
removes them completely from the phone), use the “Cut” command instead (Ctrl +
X).
Navigate to the folder where you would like the copied photos to
go, right-click any empty space in the folder, and then choose the “Paste”
command (or hit Ctrl + V).
After a few seconds or minutes (depending on how many images
you’re transferring), all the pictures should be in their new location.
And alternatively, if you prefer to drag and drop rather
than copy and paste, you can also open two File Explorer windows side by side
and just drag and drop the images the way you would do any other files.
How to Transfer Photos from iPhone to a Mac
Interface your iPhone to your PC with the USB cable.
The Photos application on your Mac will naturally open. If it
doesn't, open your Applications folder and select the Photos application.
Select File from the top menu, at that point select Import.
You can download select photographs by holding down the command
key on your keyboard while clicking all the photographs you need to move, at
that point click Review for Import.
In the event that you've just imported a few or the entirety of
your chosen photographs, your Mac will tell you, at that point gives you the
choice to import the remaining photo(s) by clicking Import New Photo.
In the event that you'd preferably import all the photographs on
your iPhone that you haven't recently supported up, click Import All New Items.
To see the as of late imported photographs, select Last Import on
the sidebar. What's more, you're done.
