How to add Friends On Facebook

I will show you how to Add, Unfollow, Remove(Unfriend) 
and to block Facebook Friends.

How To Add A Friend On Facebook

Go to the top search bar on top of the Facebook home page.

Search for the Facebook friend’s name, that is, first and last name then click the big search icon. It will list all the related names from your search.

The names will be displayed along with the profile picture.

Identify the person you want to Add as a friend and click the

Add Friend button


The Add Friend button will change and display Friend 

Request Sent.


You are done.
N/B: When you add someone, you follow them automatically 
but you can unfollow them as I will show you down below.

How To Tag Someone On Facebook

This is another function that is very important if you want your friend to see your post or image(s) you have uploaded.


When you write a post you can tag someone by:


Going to the middle section below your post where there is A

tag Friends option.

Tag a Friend on Facebook

It will take you to where you type the name of the friend you 

want to tag.

After you type the first name, it will display several names 

that you may choose from.

Tag Who you are with

Then, after selecting it will display With someone e.g. 
with Wafula Wekati.
The tagged friend will receive a notification and will be able
to view your post.

Photo Tag

The procedure is the same as the post tag. Then after you have selected the image to upload
You repeat the steps in the post tag above.

Comment Tag

Another tag is in the comment section where you can tag your friend to view a post from the comment area.
You type the “@” symbol followed by the first name of the 
friend, for example, @mwalimu. By typing that it will display the whole name. Immediately you comment it tags them.

How to unfollow a friend

This is a wise option that allows you to stop viewing a friend's
post on your news feed without having to unfriend them. 
They won’t get a notification as well after you unfollow them.
To unfollow you go to a friend’s timeline then click in the following option or hover mouse on that section.
You will see the unfollow option from the dropdown options. 
You can then click to unfollow them.

How To Remove A Friend On Facebook

Sometime you may be having too many friends and want to reduce the number of friends in order to add other friends.
You may have reached the 5000 friends limit and yet, you
need to confirm new requests or add more known or familiar 
friends.
In order to do that you will need to reduce the number of 
friends.

Steps include:

Go to your friend's timeline.


Click on the friend's icon or button right beside or above the message button and select the unfriend option.
You are now done removing a friend.

How To Block A Friend On Facebook

Block the nagging on Facebook

To block a friend you prevent them from viewing your profile 
completely. 
You cut them off from your Facebook completely.
They won’t be able to find you again by search nor message
you anymore, up until you unblock them.

To do this:
From their profile select the three dots on their cover photo beside the friend’s icon or the video chat button.
The dots will lead you to the block option.
After you click to block, a popup window will ask you to confirm if you want to block the person.
