This statement can also help in cases where you want to link your mobile phone number with mobile banking, the bank may ask you to attach the Mpesa statement.

So here is how you go about it.

 

With this DIY (Do-It-Yourself) service, M-PESA users can have access to their monthly or on-demand stamped M-PESA statements by dialing *334#, and the e-stamped statement will be delivered to their email.

 

How does this service work?

        1.      Customers no longer need to visit a Safaricom Retail Shop in order to self-generate statements from the convenience of their phones.

        2.    Customers can request that their statements be emailed to them on a monthly basis, on-demand, or on specific dates.

        3.    Statements generated are electronically stamped by Safaricom, confirming their authenticity without the need to visit a retail shop.

        4.    Simple registration process for mobile access to e-statements at *334#.

        5.     The statement's information has been modified in compliance with data protection legislation.

        6.    All M-PESA registered users can use this service for FREE.

 

Steps to register for the service

By using an M-PESA line, the client will need to:

        1.      Dial *334# then select My Account then Select M-PESA Statement

        2.    Select Register for Email Statement

        3.    Accept the terms and conditions

        4.    Enter your email address and use your M-PESA PIN to confirm your request.

        5.     You will receive a confirmation SMS that the registration request has been received, and is being processed.

Steps to get M-PESA Statements 

Customers can see their M-PESA statements after registering by following the simple steps below:

        1.      From your M-PESA registered number, dial *334#.

        2.    Choose "My Account" (option 7).

        3.    Choose M-PESA Statement, (option 3), and then specify whether you want a full or mini statement.

       4.    Your M-PESA statement and a notification will be delivered to you via email and SMS, respectively.
